Sorry, guys, but even the Prince can't beat out the Dark Knight.
The new Batman movie hit theaters this weekend and I must admit, baseball fell temporarily to number two on my list....hence the lack of posts.
I did watch Friday's game and listen to Saturday's on the radio. And I am, of course, thrilled about the Crew's first road sweep in....what is it now...um, like, forever??
But this weekend was really all about Bruce, Harvey, Jim and the Joker. I saw The Dark Knight twice, and am already planning a third.
Still, all this movie viewing wasn't completely without a sports connection.
I was transfixed by the film. It truly carried me away. But when Harvey said that you either die a hero or live to see yourself become the villain....I abruptly snapped out of the story and thought, instead, of Brett Favre.
Bad enough that he's spoiling this year's football season. Now he's intruding on my Batman joy.
But, rest assured, when the Crew gets to St. Louis tomorrow and the Cubs take on the D-Backs, I'll go back to focusing on this year's most important two villains.
