While I love watching Ben pitch for the Crew, the reality is that we haven't seen nearly enough of that the past few years.

So while I would be sad to see him go, there are better ways to spend our money than keeping an injury-prone starter. (From a pragmatic standpoint, it's really too bad that he didn't have this "banner season" a few years ago - and we could've traded him for someone with value).

In other news, can you believe how long the baseball season is? I've always fancied myself a pretty "hard core" baseball fan, but this blog (and my inability to even keep up with it each day - much less see each game) has certainly made me appreciate the volume of baseball these guys play (and some of us dare to watch and blog about).

Which brings me to a question as we near the mid-way point for the SOBster: Is it everything that you've hoped for? More? Less? What's most surprising? Have you started to dread baseball at all (or regret the blog, for that matter)? OK, that's more than one question. But there you have it.

For what it's worth, I continue to greatly enjoy the blog - even if I end up reading a handful at the same time on Saturday mornings with a cup of joe.

Go Crew!

p.s. My apologies for using the phrase "SOBster" - but I couldn't resist....

p.p.s. At the risk of starting a minor controversy, when are they going to trade Fielder and Hall already?
